Our Financial Services team, drawn from experts in our contentious, non-contentious and accounting departments, has an unrivalled breadth of experience in the financial services sector spanning the entire spectrum, from mainstream banking through to insurance and funds with capabilities covering money lending, money transmission services.
Our expertise.
Many of our specialists sit, and have sat, on the boards of client companies in a variety of industry sectors, serving in various regulatory bodies in the Isle of Man. We have an excellent relationship with the Island’s financial services regulator and are regularly asked to consult and give advice in relation to policy.
Our lawyers also assist financial and information technology clients on a broad range of areas, including GDPR and data protection, employment, regulation and licensing and intellectual property.
Our client portfolio encompasses a wide range of local and international credit institutions, global insurers, on-line payment institutions and other merchant services providers and we frequently act in relation to investigations and enforcement actions by the Island’s financial services regulator and law enforcement bodies (including financial crime).
