As part of our ongoing plans to further strengthen and expand its business, Cains, has recently appointed a Head of Finance and a Marketing Manager to support the company during its long-term growth strategy.
Alison Cregeen has joined the company both as new Head of Finance and as a data protection and privacy consultant following 20 years’ experience working within two of the “Big 4” accounting firms both in London and the Isle of Man. She will take over from Steve Wilks following his decision to step down from July, having served as Financial Controller at Cains for over 21 years.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and holding internationally recognised qualifications in data privacy and privacy management with the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Alison moves to Cains having spent 10 years at PwC Isle of Man, where she was most recently a Director in its Advisory Services practice, with responsibility for data protection and forensic services.
With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Alison will take responsibility for the company’s finance function as well as expanding the firm’s GDPR consulting offering for clients.
Commenting on her appointment, Alison said: “I am very excited to be working with the new management team at Cains, and look forward to supporting them as they continue to grow the business. I believe that with my knowledge and experience of assisting Isle of Man companies with data protection issues, in particular in relation to GDPR, coupled with the legal expertise of Cains team in this area, we will be able to offer clients a comprehensive and fully joined up GDPR service covering both practical and legal matters.”
Also joining the company is Carrie Allen-Snell, who will take up a position as Marketing Manager, having relocated to the Isle of Man from Liverpool. With over eight years’ experience working within one of the North West’s leading communications agencies, Carrie will oversee Cains’ marketing strategy as the company looks to expand its client base both in the Isle of Man and internationally.
She will work closely with the board of directors to ensure that the firm’s marketing plans; digital presence and business development activity continue to build upon its notable reputation.
