Cains acted for a real estate investment company in relation to the Isle of Man aspects of its £20m acquisition of a property holding company which holds long-let student accommodation in Scotland.
Cains’ involvement included, inter alia, assisting with the due diligence exercise as regards the Isle of Man target, reviewing the English law share purchase agreement (and associated documentation) from an Isle of Man legal perspective, drafting corporate authorities of the target company and purchaser and advising generally on certain Isle of Man corporate law matters.
