Legal and professional services group Cains has announced a sponsorship that will benefit junior training at Bacchanalians Hockey Club over a three year period.
Bacchanalians, which was set up 33 years ago, is now recognised as a major force in Manx hockey.
“We are delighted with the Cains sponsorship which enables us to offer the best training opportunities to our youngsters who are the lifeblood of the club. We pride ourselves on our vibrant junior section and also the progression of players within the club. We are also pleased to note that nearly all the current first XI players have progressed through our junior training structures so it remains a key part of the clubs success” said Club Chairman Tim Leeming.
Cains director, Tristan Head, who is a former player at the Club and whose son (Theo) and daughter (Grenya) have recently joined the junior section of the Club said: “The long established and highly successful Bacchanalians Hockey Club, like all amateur sports clubs, is reliant on sponsorship and Cains is proud to offer its support.”.
The Club is also partnered with Rebecca House; the children’s charity associated with Hospice Isle of Man and has committed to raise £3,000 a year for the next three years for the charity.
