Cains' banking litigation team has a close working relationship with a number of the leading banks on the Island and regularly assists them with the recovery of funds, repossession of property and winding up of companies. We are experienced in advising both individuals and institutions in respect of banking disputes and have been successful in obtaining funds for individuals and institutions following disagreements with their bankers and/or parties who have lent them money.

Cains acts for insurers and insured persons both with regard to disputes relating to insurance, reinsurance, and assurance products and acted for the joint liquidators of Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander (Isle of Man) Limited concerning the effect of equitable set off in the context of the liquidation of the bank.
