Employment
The growth of the Manx economy has seen a change in the pattern and complexities of work for a large number of people on the Island. This, together with a recent raft of new employment related legislation, has led to growing emphasis on issues of employment law.
Our specialist employment group focuses on giving prompt and practical advice in an area of complex law and regulation and primarily advises corporate clients on a broad range of non-contentious employment matters including:
- employment aspects of acquisitions and disposals and all commercial transactions;
- service agreements and consultancy agreements for directors and key senior personnel;
- drafting documentation such as handbooks and manuals;
- reviewing clients' employment practices and policies including disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy, equal pay, equal opportunities (including harassment at work policies) and advice on new legislation;
- advice on email policies and staff computer usage.
