Cains Ranked Top Aim 100 Law Firm
Cains has for the second successive time been ranked as the top legal adviser to the AIM 100 by the Hemscott AIM Advisers Rankings Guide.
The February 2008 edition of the Hemscott survey, which ranks advisers to companies floating on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM), reveals that Cains is the number one legal adviser to the AIM 100 based upon its combined client market capitalisation (£4409 million) and number of clients (8).
Cains, recently named “Offshore Law Firm of the Year” at the British Legal Awards, is also ranked second by market capitalisation for utilities clients (£492 million) and third by market capitalisation for basic materials clients (£1462 million), oil and gas clients (£1180 million). The Firm also ranks third by market capitalisation for total AIM clients (£5243 million).
Andrew Corlett, managing director of Cains, said: “These rankings reflect our strength, expertise and commitment to client service in advising listed international companies. They also demonstrate the increasing importance to AIM and the Official List of significant overseas companies routing to London via the Isle of Man”.
“Our focus this year is to reinforce this message in the key emerging markets from which many of our valued clients emanate. Initiatives include the opening of a regional office in Singapore early this summer as well as extensive PR and marketing efforts in the BRIC economies”.
“Our aim is to secure the Isle of Man’s position as the preferred offshore route to London’s capital markets as well as providing a world class platform for global business”. |
