Cains sponsor Desmond Morris art exhibition
Cains are co-sponsoring a major exhibition by Desmond Morris which is to be held at the Said Business School in Oxford on 4th – 12th September 2007.
Desmond Morris is famous for his wonderful anthropological writings including The Naked Ape, which has its 40th anniversary this year. What is not widely known is that he is also an extremely talented and prolific surrealist painter with a career spanning over 40 years.
The exhibition will be opened by Professor Richard Dawkins on Tuesday 4 September for a private viewing and will thereafter be open to the public.
Andrew Corlett of Cains said “With over 80 works of art on display, the exhibition represents a rare and excellent opportunity to view the works of an important contemporary surrealist painter. Cains are delighted to have had the opportunity to assist by co-sponsoring the event”.
