Cains Sponsors "ALSO" Training

Cains has donated £2,000 to the Jane Crookall Maternity Wing
to enable its staff to attend the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics
course (ALSO).
The two-day internationally recognised, evidence-based and multidisciplinary
training course is designed to assist health professionals to improve
the management of obstetrical emergencies which may arise in maternity
care.
The ALSO course originated in the USA in 1991 and has assisted
numerous midwives, obstetricians and general practitioners throughout
the world.
Mr Fayle, a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Noble’s
Hospital, says, “ALSO is a valuable course on the practical
management of a wide range of emergences including maternal and
neonatal resuscitation. It is our aim to have all staff who work
on the Jane Crookall Maternity Wing attend this course. We are very
grateful to Cains for their continuing commitment to support us.”
