Miss Potter nominated for Golden Globe
15th December 2006

Isle of Man Film has today announced its first ever Golden Globe nomination for Renée Zellweger's portrayal of Beatrix Potter in "Miss Potter". The film, which shot on the Island earlier this year, co-stars Ewan McGregor, Emily Watson, Barbara Flynn and Bill Paterson and tells the enchanting love story of the much-loved children's author's life and love affair with her publisher Norman Warne.
Renée, who is already a Golden Globes favourite having won three Golden Globes during the last five years, faces stiff competition in the category of Best Actress (Musical or Comedy) from Annette Bening in "Running with Scissors", Toni Collette in "Little Miss Sunshine", Beyonce Knowles in "Dreamgirls" and Meryl Streep in "the Devil Wears Prada".

The awards are presented on 15 January 2007 in Hollywood.
"Miss Potter" is released in UK cinemas on 5 January 2007.
