Cains Sponsors Friends of Manx National Heritage Major Charity Concert
2 October 2006
Cains are to be the principal sponsors of the Friends of Manx National Heritage (FMNH) major charity concert celebrating Manx Maritime Heritage by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines.
At the 2006 Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Manx National Heritage, Treasurer Harley Shimmin announced that Cains Advocates have agreed to be the principal sponsors of a major charity concert spectacular by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Scotland. The event, which is promoted by FMNH, will be held at the Villa Marina on Tuesday 21st November 2006.
Well known for their magnificent ceremonials and musical displays, a full Band of the Royal Marines has not visited the Island for over ten years. The musical spectacular, which will be the only performance the Band gives while on the Island, will be a major event in celebration of our maritime heritage. Tickets will be on sale to the general public via the Villa Marina box office shortly, with funds raised going to local charities.

With their commitment, and the commitment of our other sponsors, we hope to be able to celebrate our unique maritime heritage in appropriate style through the performance of a truly world class Band”.
