Ben Hughes joins Cains' Trust and Pensions Unit
10th June 2003
Cains is pleased to announce that Ben Hughes has joined the trust and pensions unit of its corporate department.
Ben is an English solicitor and was formerly a pensions lawyer with Denton Wilde Sapte a leading international law firm based in the City of London with offices in 30 jurisdictions around the world. He has experience in most areas of pensions law and regulation, including the drafting of scheme documentation, dealing with the restructuring of pension arrangements and advising scheme trustees and administrators generally on regulatory and other issues, both contentious and non-contentious. He has also advised in relation to pension issues arising from corporate transactions and insolvency. He comments: "I have existing connections with the Isle of Man and was delighted when the opportunity arose to join such an established and well known local firm as Cains. I believe that there are some outstanding opportunities for the Island in the pensions arena and I am looking forward immensely to my new role."
Richard Vanderplank, a director of Cains, remarked: "I am very pleased with this appointment. It is vital that the Island attracts highly skilled personnel to work within its professional and business sectors and I have no doubt that Ben will prove to be an excellent addition to that skill base."
