Douglas-based law and professional services group Cains has announced the appointment of Graeme Snape as Head of Compliance.
Graeme’s career in the Isle of Man financial services sector spans more than 35 years and he has spent the last 20 working within governance, regulatory, risk and compliance disciplines.

As founder director of privately-owned CGR Consulting Limited, Graeme provides consultancy services for an Isle of Man client-base including fund administration providers, IFAs and trust and corporate service providers.
He was previously Head of Compliance at HSBC Securities Services (Isle of Man) Limited where he was responsible for the international pensions and fund administration businesses.
Before joining Cains, he spent 17 years at the Bank of Bermuda (Isle of Man) Limited.

Graeme is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (MCSI), an Associate of the Institute of Bankers (ACIB) and a Fellow of the (former) Compliance Institute (FCoI) and he also has a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors (DipIOD).
Outside of work, Graeme is the Chairman of the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals and has played an active role with the Lions Club of the Isle of Man for many years where he is currently treasurer of the local branch.
