Cains, the Isle of Man law and professional services group, has recently acted for Sasol Financing International Plc, part of the Sasol international integrated energy and chemicals group, in relation to its issue of 4.500% notes due 2022 in an aggregate principal amount of US$1,000,000,000. Barclays Bank PLC, HSBC Bank plc and J.P. Morgan Securities plc acted as joint bookrunners for the offering. The notes are listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the net proceeds of the offerings are being used for general corporate purposes, including funding capital investments.
